Autumn Wellbeing Course for Adult Carers

September saw the roll out of the second wellbeing course for adult carers. The six week course of workshops looked at a range of themes in relation to wellbeing.

We looked at what wellbeing means to us, how we can keep ourselves well and how we juggle this with our caring roles.

We created wellbeing boxes and joined in relaxation and energising activities.

In addition to the time we spent at Broughton Hub doing the indoor activities the group decided to meet after the course finished for a walk together in Worsley Woods polished off by coffee and cake.

Here are some of the things that carers who came along said about the course.

“It was a nice change speaking to other people who understand the difficulties of being a carer”

“I enjoyed the course and it has given me something to look forward to. I have made new friends.”

"The humour of the Salford Carers Centre staff was infectious, it relaxed everyone2

So huge thank you to Annette, Kate and Laura for once again planning and running an excellent course and to all the carers for sharing and being so supportive of each other.
