1000K+ Challenge - August Update

Another huge month on the challenge - would have been happy to pass the 300K mark by the end of the third month but just amazed at far much ground I have covered so far.

Highlights this month have been the Mountain marathon over Kinder Low End, Bleaklow and Black Hill to Marsden a run I have wanted to do for ages but this challenge gave me the confidence to try and I enjoyed every single minute of it.. The other highlights were the two walks with the young carers, two great days in the hill, Two days of happy smiling faces and reminders of why the challenge is taking place.

Distance covered; 171.40 K (106.53 Miles)

Ascents 4866 metres (15964.57 ft)

Distant; 521.89 K (329.29 Miles)

Ascents ; 17,900 metres (58,927 ft)

So huge month, half way with the challenge in just 3 months.....7 months to go!! That + sign is looking like it may be huge itself.

Highlights for September will include trip to Snowdonia, another iconic Dark Peak run over 35K and the dreaded Salford 10K, dreaded because it's all on roads and I'll be joined by 3000 other runners. A small hardship for me but nothing compared to the lives of some of the young carers we support so please help at www.justgiving.com/Paul-Moran12 1000K or text PDPM54 £5 to 70070
