1000k Challenge-fund raising for Salford's young carers

Must be the silly season!!

Between the 30th May 2016 and the 31st March 2017, 306 days, I will attempt to run and/or walk 1,000K to raise funds for Salford Young Carers. All the money raised will go directly towards activities for our young carers, with none going towards any operational overheads.

With the exception of the Salford 10K in September all the runs/walks will be on the fells and hills in our amazing countryside, so all will also involve more than a few ups and downs.

You can support this effort, by this old man with dodgy knees, by going to http://www.justgiving.com/Paul-Moran12 and making a small donation.

You will see from my page that I am aiming to raise £10,000 which seems a lot of money. It is but when you break it down you will see that it is only £40 per young carers we work with each year, £40 towards a break from the high level of caring they are doing and towards their emotional support.

However please just donate what you can, every penny raised is a penny we don't have at the moment and will be put to very good use.

I will post each run/walk on our twitter site, @YACSalfordCarer, via my Garmin site so you will have evidence of what has been achieved, due to internet access across the country this might not always be immediate, and I will do a monthly report for the website.

In the meantimein anticipation of your support thank you

Heres hoping the shoes last!!
