Carers Week, the national week to celebrate the amazing contribution that unpaid family carers make to the health and Social Care System in this country is rapidly approaching....and quicker in Salford than elsewhere as we star a week early..........and try to cover all our age bands from the youngest to the oldest.


So our programme is as follows;

Wednesday 1st June-Trip to the Lowry Theatre to see the musical Laila-limited tickets must be booked in advance-over 18s only

Wednesday 1st June-Young Carers Calendar Group go on residential to Wales, thanks to Salford Foundation, for 2 nights to start work on the 2017 calendar

Monday 6th June-British Red Cross 1st Aid for Carers event at Pendleton Gateway-places must be booked, over 18s only

Monday 6th June-Drop-in at Pendleton Gateway, advice/information/chat, 12.30-15.00

Tuesday 7th June-Drop-in at Hamilton Davies Trust in Irlam, advice/information/chat, 10.00-12.00

Tuesday 7th June-Creative Art at Hamilton Davies Trust in Irlam, limited places, must be booked over 18s only

Tuesday 7th June-Lowry Project Group-invite only

Wednesday 8th June-Drop-in at Eccles Gateway, advice/information/chat, 10.30-12.30

Wednesday 8th June-Boys Health & Wellbeing Group-invite only

Thursday 9th June-Drop-in at Salford Royal Hospital, advice/information/ chat, all day

Thursday 9th June-Drop-in Swinton Gateway, Advice/information/chat 12.30-15.00

Friday 10th June-Eccles Town Hall 10.00-13.00-information stalls, tombola, musical entertainment, national & local politicians, tea/coffee, chat ALL WELCOME

So busy week helping our Salford Carers celebrate, lets hope we can turn such weeks into the norm-their contribution should be celebrated every day, every week all the time
