Boiler & Insulation Grants - owner occupiers and private tenants can get a grant to replace their boilers and improve basic loft and cavity wall insulation through E.ON’s Energy Heroes scheme. There is NO need to be a customer. Telephone: 0800 508 8008 or visit: eonenergy.com/energyheroes
Gas Safe - Health and safety checks and repairs for gas boilers, fires and gas cookers are available via the Gas Safe scheme. To qualify applicants must be an owner-occupier and:
aged over 60 or aged 18-59 years old who are registered  or can evidence disability
e.g. receiving DLA.

Green Handyperson scheme - is offering a FREE ‘green makeover’ to owner-occupiers, receiving a benefit and suffering from ill health or aged over 60. This scheme can fit energy saving bulbs, draught-proofing and reflective radiator panels to reflect the heat from radiators back into the room. and energy saving bulbs. Energy Tariff Switching - Help is also available to assist residents get comparison quotes to change their energy supplier. People who have not switched energy suppliers before could save up to £300 a year. To find out more call Salford Foundation on: 0161 787 8500.
