Massive Week nearly over

The tool-kit has been launched and can now be accessed from either or We hope it becomes a really useful tool in raising awareness and identifying young carers in schools and youth provision across the country-please feel free to use and/or comment

This has been a huge week for Salford Young Carers & Adult Carers Services and as a team we are all really buzzing and so proud of the young people we work with.

Although Tuesday saw the 1st Annual Salford Young Carers Day the events seem to have been going on all week so I thought I should say a few thanks...........................

Albion High Academy amazing staff support and very active young carers raised not only awareness with assemblies for pupils and staff briefings but also raised over £50 with a cake sale

Harrop Fold High School Young Carers carrying out staff briefings on young carers issues

Walkden High School not sure where to start....staff briefings by young people, assemblies, cake sales and shaving off the beards!! All run and organised by young carers to raise awareness of young careers in school

St. Phillips Primary School Special assemblies for pupils

St Charles Primary School massive thanks for a full day of art sessions based on caring issues for around 16 young carers of all ages.

Sorry If I have missed people off I really appreciate all the efforts everyone has made this week, especially all the support via tweeter on the day

But finally I would like to thank "The Team", Myrthe, Natalie, Charlotte, Jenny, Nicola and the unbelievable Eileen who managed to get the taxis sorted. Without this team none of the above would have happen so massive thanks for this week and every week.
