New film to be launched at glittering event at the Lowry

Today, the 31st October 2014, the third of our trilogy of young carer’s films will be launched at another glittering event at the Lowry Theatre in Salford. The 8 stars of the film plus their families will mix with a number of invited guests for the premier, who include patrons of the Lowry Theatre, Councillor Hudson, the Ceremonial Mayor of Salford, Barbara Keeling, local MP and great campaigner on carer’s issues, and Charlotte Ramsden, the executive Director of Childrens Services in Salford. Members of the Young Carers Forum will again produce the cakes following a baking session the day before, and 10 young carers will act as hosts and ushers on the evening. This year’s film is entitled Young Carers: How Young is Young and will be used in our work in primary schools. It has been scripted and acted by young carers i aged 11 and under and is the result of a summer long project. You will be able to view it on the website hopefully from Monday the 3rd November.
